The VN Channel

Mitsubishi produces one of my very favorite cars — the Eclipse — so I am naturally very keen to review the new 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart for The VN Channel.

Many people praised the 2009 version of this vehicle, so it is definitely worth it to take an in depth look at the newest, turbocharged model.

It does not come as much of a surprise at all that the 2010 Lancer Ralliart has quite a bit in common with its earlier sedan predecessor. Beneath the hood, it features the same great 4B11T 2.0 liter turbo four, as well as the exact 237 horsepower, not to mention the SST twin clutch automatic. In fact, the two models are also similar in size; this one is only an inch taller and 0.4 inch longer. It isn’t even more than one hundred pounds heavier than the 2009. By all accounts, however, the 2010 model is much more versatile with plenty of cargo space.

Have you ever seriously thought about getting yourself a Lotus?  I mean honestly, they are one of the hottest cars in the world and while they are rare – they are absolutely worth the investment.  This particular sports car though is now available for rent via Hertz in Italy!  To me – that is pretty awesome.  I know if I was going to Italy, I would absolutely want to drive around in style and now you can!

While this car may not be one of the top sports cars in Italy, it is certainly in the top twenty and I think that if they have the Lotus available for rent the next time that I am in Italy, I will be taking advantage of it and definitely get myself behind the wheel of this beautiful – great looking sports car.

Remember, Italy is the capital of style and if you are driving around in one of the Saab or Coopers, you will not look nearly as cool than if you rolled up in a Lotus!

BMW is a brand that whenever I think about it for too long, I really think that it is definitely one of the best looking brands of cars and the cars themselves are very, very well-made.

German-made cars I think are by far some of the best cars on the market; however, BMW is the best.  There is some news in the BMW world though; the BMW “Y” is actually a new range of cars which will include all sorts of different models of Z2 all the way to 1-series and finally a completely and totally new and fresh compact premium line of Y.

BMW is going to divide these brand new lines into three different groups of cars.  The Traditional, Sporting and finally Lifestyle and all of these cars are going to be built with one universal platform, which of course will be the basis for the MINI by BMW.

Whether you are a fan or not, it is hard to deny the fact that Ford is really coming up in the world a bit. It has always enjoyed a rather solid popularity, but lately even that is on the rise, especially as drivers start to look for more affordable vehicles.

So, it makes a lot of sense to take a look at the Ford Fiesta — the 2010 model. It has been compared to the Mini Cooper, due to the fact that it is a rather small car that does not look cheap or like it should be tossed away as soon as possible.

It looks like it would be fun to drive this car, and from all available counts, it really is. It will be available in the United States during the early part of 2010.

There are many different brands of cars out there – as you well know, what you might not be aware of, is that Volkswagen cars are definitely some of the best cars in the world – specifically, the Volkswagen Scirocco GT TDI.  Now, I know this from experience simply because I am absolutely in love with Volkswagen cars.  I think that they look incredible, are awesome drive and I have to say that they last a very long time as well!

However, we are talking about the Volkswagen Scirocco GT TDI specifically.  This car is filled with specs and is definitely one car that you should consider purchasing.  The reasons?  It is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, Volkswagen Scirocco GT TDI may develops 258 lbs ft of torque from 1,750 rpm, it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 8.1 seconds and will reach its top speed at 138 mph (DSG: 136). While for its emissions level, Volkswagen Scirocco GT TDI comes with a CO2 emissions level of 139 g/km (DSG: 147) and a fuel economy of 53.3 mpg.

Need I say more?

So now that we have talked about a Ford car, let’s switch gears a bit and move on over to a sports car.  The 2010 Lotus Evora is absolutely beautiful and while it does not come out until next year, there are definitely some notable things on this car that you should definitely make sure that you notice.  For example, the fact that this incredible Lotus is far bigger, far more luxurious and over all better to live in than any other Lotus!

Another thing that you should notice is that while the set-up is going to be the standard two-seat, there is a slew of different luxury items incorporated into the design.  For example, a fully leather interior, a navigation system and also a backup camera are some of the things that absolutely come standard with the 2010 Lotus Evora!

Sports car lover?  You should absolutely take a glance at the 2010 Lotus Evora!

It has to be said that the latest and greatest truck to come out of Ford is going to be the 2010 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150.  Honestly, this truck is definitely incredible all over the place.  Not only does it look absolutely like sex, but it is absolutely one of the best trucks in the world.  We all know that Ford is known for their truck line and while I do not personally like Ford as a brand and I hate Ford cars, their trucks are something that I would absolutely buy!

The 2010 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 is just one of the many Ford trucks that they have coming out in 2010 and I love the fact that they have it marked as a Harley-Davidson truck, because we all know that, that makes this truck one for the bikers.

So if you want sexy and stable, the 2010 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 is definitely going to be the truck for you!  It is technology-advanced and looks absolutely incredible!

Another outlandish, yet intelligent, concept car makes its way at the Geneva Motor Show—the Nissan Qazana. Atsushi Maeda, Nissan Design (Europe) studio chief, said that the Qazana concept car is an “intelligent, all-wheel-drive crossover which is masculine, agile, lean, and designed for the tough city streets.” He also added that his design team patterned the concept car after the “modern-day buggy and four-seat motorbike.”

The Nissan Qazana concept car lacks exterior door handles, thus it is often mistaken for a two-door car. It is a four-door car with rear-hinged back doors, which become accessible once the front doors are opened. This door system eradicates the “B-pillar”, making it so much easier to get to the back seats.

Slightly larger than the Nissan Cube, the Qazana is only 159.8 inches long. The most striking exterior features are the two large headlights. Small headlights for daytime use are also attached at the top of the fenders. The interior is composed mainly of exposed plastic and fabric. Nissan said that the contour of the center console comes from the design of motorbike’s fuel tanks.

Audi’s premium subcompact Audi A1 will enter the European market later this year. However, Johan de Nysschen, president of Audi of America, said that with the American’s mentality of small cars being cheap, the United States’ market might not be ready for the Audi A1.

According to an interview with Automotive News, Johan de Nyscchen said that the Audi automobile company is “seriously looking” at their plan to bring the Audi A1 to the United States six to eight years from now. He stressed that introducing the car earlier might spoil the car company’s hard work in building pervasive recognition for the brand.

Another interview at the Audi headquarters, de Nysschen said, “People who know us consider us very highly, but not enough people know us yet. I’d like to get that entrenched much more strongly, and it will probably take us another five to six years. That will be the time that you can kind of roll down the market with a smaller car.”

After the launching of the 2010 Mazdaspeed 3, the men behind the new machine are more eager than ever to unveil the performance-based version at the motor show in Geneva this coming March.

The new Mazdaspeed 3 t comes with two engine options: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine has 148 horsepower and 135 lb.-feet of torque; and a new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a borrowed power train from a larger Maza6, with 167 horsepower and 168 lb.-feet of torque. Both the engine has a highly developed electronic throttle actuation. The 2010 Mazdaspeed 3 has a five- and six-speed manual transmission, as well as a five-speed automatic transmission with the Sport-AT manual shift mode as option. This could become as big a hit as the Mazda mx-3, I’m sure!
